I'm at home with the flu today...feeling pretty terrible and full of aspirin.

So what could be a better tune to jam to than "Comfortably Numb"? :D

    Forgive me David G.

    I'm ill.

This is my favourite guitar solo of all time and most favourite song. So a real treat to hear it.

You did a great job !!

    Hope you feel better soon...

Not sure I agree about the need for more balls on this particular piece. The has a good Live Coliseum sound, very open, kind of spacey, a nice treatment and fitting tribute for Gillmore & Floyd.

Yes, most magnificent playing. Don't get sick again on my account, but next time you do, be sure to hit record! <g>

I've been working on that solo too. Where's you get the backing tracks?

First of all thanks to everybody for being so nice!:)

I had listen to it today with a clear head and it makes me kinda want to learn the solo properly. :D

    Anyway...

the guitar used was a Custom Strat type guitar built by an Italian builder called Jacaranda
and you can see it here.

I used the neck pickup mainly (Suhr V60LP) and only switched to the bridge 'bucker (Suhr DSV+ )for the add lib bit at the end.

The amp used was just my Boss GT-8 processor into my PC soundcard.

Really fine playing. Tone, time, and phrasing were excellent.
