Looking for a non-optical compressor that doesn't have buffers. Is there such a thing.
FYI, I like and use the CS-2 and 3 but need one minus the buffer.

    Thanks in advance.

What do you mean "without buffers"? Do you mean true bypass? When on, the compressor itself becomes a buffer of sorts. Some (particularly those that are built on the DynaComp/Ross architecture) don't have a dedicated output buffer section for the effect itself, but that's only relevant when it's turned on.

If you like the CS series but need them to be true bypass, just use a TB loop box. I'm not aware of any Boss CS-2/3-based compressors with true bypass built in, I'm afraid. If you're willing to go beyond the Boss circuits, there are plenty of options out there that are true bypass. My current favourite is the Xotic SP Compressor.

if you mean true bypass, the Barber Tone Press would do you right. My favorite parallel compressor pedal on the market.
