Considering AC15H1TV

I'm considering one of these... how do you owners like them?

Have you gotten rid of it? Why?

On youtube recordings this amp seems shrill, weak in the low and mids, and boxy compared to it's big brother the AC30 heritage.

I like round warm vox tones, not the ice pick tones, especially with my tele.

Can the AC151TV be sweet and colorful?

Thanks for the input ...

Well there is no way you can know what an amp sounds by listening to sound clips on the web. you spend must some time playing it.

The AC15H1TV is a really nice amp. Not boxy or weak. In fact, it is quite loud and has lots of character, especially with the EF86 and classic vox channels. It will nicely compliment my other amp - DRRI.

Cheers.

I have an AC15H1TV for lower volume situations and a Bogner Metropolis 30 watter for when I need clean tone at higher volumes. Both amps are great for what I use them for.

If you're looking for warmer and woodier tones with the H1TV, try replacing the Celestion blue with a WGS black and blue. This speaker sounds great in a Vox - no shrillness at all and still chimes.
