Contact cleaner when changing tubes?

    Maybe you want to move this over to the builder's forum. I'd be curious also as I am a big fan of Deox-it D5 contact cleaner on other applications.

    you should use contact cleaner. Just one note, use Deoxit DN5 not D5. D5 has a lubricant in it and you don't want to use that in tube sockets. You use the lubricated stuff for pots. Spray out all your input and output jacks as well in your guitar and stomp boxes. I do it once or twice a year.
