I recently upgraded to Logic Studio 9 and I'm looking for a good control surface and/or interface to use with it. Any suggestions? I'd like to keep it relatively inexpensive. Under $400 if possible. However, if the best solution is more it's definitely worth considering. I appreciate any ideas...thanks guys.

Check out the Behringer BCF2000. Yeah, it's Behringer, but don't let the name fool you. It has 8 motorized faders and 8 rotary knobs and like 32 presets or something, which gives a potential do control a good number of tracks.

And it's under $200.

I use a Tascam FW-1082 and love it! It's around $500 new, but you can find them used. It's got everything I need, want, and more. Automated flying faders, midi controlling, 10 ins, 4 outs, 2 midi ins and outs...

Quite affordable and very robust:

Don't these have mic pres and A/D converters in them?

Yes I believe these have Pres and converters in them. For control surface for Logic 9 I've been using the Presonus Faderport, it is pretty basic but it beats using a mouse for everything. Another one that looks like it would be cool is the Novation ZeRO SL MkII, although I have no experience with it so I can't really say how it works with Logic. http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/SLmk2zero/
