Its very hard for me to get a good tone with a Dumble style amp and a Strat. This is about the best I could do without using the closet for isolating my cab. I need to learn to use the punch in on my BR600 to get rid of a few mistakes! :puh At least there is no "cheating"! :)

Stratahoula Straight into Type III.

359 Gibson I actually like this take. http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?songid=7384824&q=hi

Low gain take with Humbuckers PRS. http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?songid=7384074&q=hi&newref=1

With Guild Starfire. http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?songid=7399730&q=hi

I have this backing track which is fun to play on if anyone wants it. I think I got it from someone on here anyway.

Whoa, dude! :dude

Slippery stuff there, Tag. No need to worry about mistakes when you're goin' for it like that.

Hey thanks for checking it out, and it makes me feel good you like it. here is a take with humbuckers. Very little gain added. I need to put the cab back in the closet for better tone, but I am so much more comfortable listening to the amp instead of my tone coming through the monitors. Anyway, I like this take a lot more. Very relaxed for me, which I am trying to work on.

I sent the backing to a few people already, if anyone else needs it, just shoot me an email.

Wow - great playing. I think I also personally liked the Houla take a bit better. A little more open.

thanks for sharing this and glad you are digging on the new III!!!

yo tag,
nice playing. i also dig the chapin with the TR. i know it's not a traditional sounding dumble-esque tone but there's something that i really dig about your tone and playing on that take.

Thanks for commenting guys! Much appreciated!

Jack, the Strat take I dug, but just had to many of my own cliches in it. I hear them everyday, you dont have to listen to them all the time. lol! Thanks for listening and glad you liked it. :)

Bigger sounding than the PRS

Hey Brad!

Hard to compare by the clips as the settings on the amp were totally different. Much more gain on the Gibson clip, and the pups (57 classics) are much hotter to boot. The PRS I ordered with the mild Dragon 2 pups which I really like. The guitars sound nothing alike which is a good thing. :) The PRS with the solid Brazilian neck has an even faster attack than the Gibson with the ebony board. Damn I love ebony boards! They just seem very woody sounding and "right". I wish I could have them on all of my guitars! I do dig Maple on Fenders though as well! :dude
