Lately I've been digging guitars most people don't play/have. So no regular strat, tele, PRS or Gibson bodies allowed here. I thought a thread of our favorites in pictures would be fun!

    What's your favorite?

At first I thought the Gretsch Billy Bo Jupiter was ugly, but lately I've seen some videos with ZZ Top and Gregor Hilden playing them. They sound great. And now I think they look cool.

I like the EKO Rokes model from the 1960s.

A few users here pointed out that the top horn has a rough edge that can kinda dig into the ribs.

For guitar, I don't find that the standard Strat shape is pretty good overall. Despite being so common, it's very functional. Shapes like the Kleinberger are obviously ergonomic improvements.

On bass, elongated top horn and single cut designs have a bigger impact with how it balances and plays.

Maton from Australia makes a cool doublecut. Josh Homme plays one. Edit: Actually he has a signature model.

This one is different in many ways, the Soloway Swan:

So many little design touches add up to something balanced and very comfortable:
