    Hey folks,

I'm in the prototype phase of an amp I'm working on, and am looking inspiration in designing the cabinet for my amp.

I'm starting with a combo and want to build an oversized cab, large enough for 1x12, 2x10, or 1x15, possibly even 2x12. I've looked at all the brands I can think of that I like but am looking for more inspiration.

Any pics you could post would be much enjoyed and appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Paul

This may be my favorite. It's by the guy that does "Girl Brand" guitars.

This is my favorite cab shape with a bit more traditional look.

The new Alchemist series from Bogner looks really classy. But, I'm just a fan of art deco in general.

I have always regretted not buying one of these when I had the chance. Teisco Checkmate 30. The speaker points up into baffle that is really more of a primitive acoustic lens. It competely fills a room.

Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I think I've got the "Coolest *looking* amp" covered with my JMI :D (so much that I want another one- more for the tone, though :))

That said, Louis Electric, Swart & Komet amps look fine ;)

Swart Amps do look cool, but why doesn't the builder have the cabinets built, so that the knobs are recessed and protected by the cab a bit? It looks like you'd have to be 'bery, 'bery careful how you transport that amp, as the control knobs sit flush. I'm just asking why?

Wow! Some really trippy looking amps out there. I'll submit one myself for eye candy. Check out the head box enclosure version of:

So, I'm going to need to find a balance between cool looking and practical to build. The Bogner Alchemist sortof jarred something in me due to the way my "Nolatone" logo will flow with the lines.
