This pedal is designed and built on order Stephen O'Malley.
It a hybrid pedal in a compact box size 187mm x 120mm x 38mm with two channels: tube and "stone". The base of the tube channel is scheme of the preamp Sunn Model-T (1973) on two 12ax7EH tubes. The "stone" section will have preamp from Sunn beta bass amplifier.
This pedal has two outputs, one of which will have constant signal from tube preamp, the other one will have one of 4 possible variants depending on commutation. All commutation works with the help of three footswitches. "Tube" and "beta" switches on corresponding channel. When both switches are on, the signal passes through channels sequentially and switche "revers" gives direction of the signal ("tube" after "beta" or vice versa).
Each channel has classical guitar set of regulators (gain, bass, mid, treble, level) and master volume.

Whoa. Anyone order one yet?
MT tube preamp is designed on the base of the section of preamp of guitar amplifier SUNN Model-T of 1973 on two ECC83 S (12ax7 EH) tubes. In fact it is a channel tube of our pedal “tube beta hybrid” in a separate box, but there is one difference. This preamp has got two regulators of gain. Normal and Bright ( as amplifier Sunn Model-T) It gives possibility to change “brightness” of the signal smoothly.
Our preamp has TRUE BYPASS operated by relay. It works so that when power supply disappears (ex: someone pulled out the cord by a foot by chance) the pedal switches into mode bypass and sound doesn’t disappear.

Splitter-blender
Our new pedal contains two different and independent devices in one box. Two channel splitter is to the right. Two channel blender is to the left. In and out of this pedal do not depend on each other. In is for splitter and out is for blender.
Splitter divides the input signal into two perfectly independent and absolutely identical signals. There are no any regulators. You can send the signals, for example, to two amps or to two different effects chains and so on. Wherein the blender can be out of use.
The blender has two inputs A and B and can be on/off by the right switch A+B. When it is on the LED indicator beside the switch blend is on. When blender is on, signals from both inputs are blended and lead the out. You can regulate correlation of signals with the help of switch blend. Switch phase changes phase of the signal from B channel into opposite. Due to this you can sum or recoup the signals.
There is one more difference between channel A and channel B. If there are no connection in channel B then a signal from input of the splitter in is lead to the channel B with the help of inner splint. This allows to blend direct signal with processed signal. The inner connection is off when the plug is on to the channel B.
If the blender is off the signal from one of the channel leads directly to out (true bypass). The left footswitch A/B switches either A or B signal leads to the out. The correspondent indicators is on.
9 V outside stabilizing power supply is necessary for functioning of this pedal. The power plug has standard connection for effect pedals minus in the center.

It have black box and the front surface is decorated with natural veneer (cherry, oak, american nut or birch)
Inscriptions are made with the help of laser engraving. We use oil instead of lacquer in order to protect it from the external impacts

Having combined our MT tube preamp with a stone warmer we get The Black Sunn preamp. Our new pedal has two channels. One of them is a stone channel which is built on the base of RAT Distortion pedal. The other one is a tube channel built on the base of preamp section ofSunn Model T 1973 (we use 2 tubes JJ ECC83-S). The channels can function separately as well as together. When both channels are switched on, the channels are commutated successively. The first goes RAT channel and warms channel Model T that coming afterwards . If both channels are off the signal passes directly from input to output (True bypass).
Enclosure dimensions: 146x120x38mm (5.70 x 4.70 x 1.50 inch).
This preamp functions from stabilize power supply 12V DC 1200 mA (not included into the set).
