Sorry I don't have any experience with the Mosferatu, from what I've read it seems to be more of a high gain pedal than a fuzz. The zendrive is very cool though:)

Had a COT and a Fab 50 - very, very similar pedals - very slight difference.

Kept the Fab 50 - run before any OD I pick, it makes it sound better.

    Strat/Tele....COT...EL84 :dude

Congrats, the COT sure is a great pedal. It sounds great on all settings, on its own or with other pedals. In todays complicated world I find simplicity to be the greatest virtue. One knob and so many wonderful sounds. What more could you ask for?

I gotta to get Eternity as well, I just got to!

How would you guys who have both compare them to each other? gainwise, dynamics, eq and so on?

I'm a bedroom strat and Blues Jr (el84) player

is COT 50 able to deliver at bedroom volumes, since it has only one knob ?
i mean does this knob dramatically increases volume AND dirt ?

My COT works something like this:

When the pedal is turned on with the bias control on minimum there is a noticeable boost in dirt and volume.

After that I don't think (well I'm not totally sure and I haven't like done any scientifical tests or anything) it gets much louder, just increases in distortion.

I think it works a bit like a non master volume amp after it starts to distort: when you turn the (volume) knob the volume isn't affected that much, but the distortion increases.

That's how it sounds & feels to me...sounds wonderful!

Mine has the volume and the distortion go up at the same time ... once you get a healthy dose of OD from the pedal, you also have a large volume boost.

It really depends on how you set your amp. If your amp is set at the edge of breakup (how I set it) then the volume boost won't be as noticeable, but if your amp has enough spare headroom then it will get very loud.

Hmmm.....I'm considering a COT50 as a gooser into my Eternity. Has anyone tried the COT50 into the Eternity, or the other way around? Which do you prefer and why? BTW, my amp is an EL84 equipped Top Hat Club Royale, main axe is a McCarty.
