Edit/update: The seller just reduced his price from $700 to $400/OBO and admits it's a copy. Wish I'd taken a screen shot of the original posting. Thanks for ya'll's input!

There's something fishy about the headstock and inlay combination to me. Otherwise, looks pretty good. What do you think? https://fortmyers.craigslist.org/chl/msg/4975122411.html

No, it doesn't look pretty good. It looks very (poorly) fake. Gibson inlay positioned wrong, Les Paul silkscreen font wrong, fingerboard inlays wrong......

Bound like a Custom, block inlays on the fretboard, headstock silkscreen of a Standard. Cheezie gold plated parts. Chibson.

I'm just glad that they get some of these things wrong and you can still identify them. Imagine if they were on top of this ****... :D

The big tell is the standard silkscreen on what should have had a split diamond. Every other appointment points to a Custom. :D

The quickest tell for me on some of the Chibson LPs...look at the silkscreened Les Paul script on the headstock...the lettering is all the same thickness. That's not correct.

Thanks to the OP for posting this and to all that responded. It does all of us a great service to actually see the aspects of a guitar that aren't right.
