Man, Althrax is the backing king! I've heard you guys all having all the fun with these over the last few weeks, so I figured it was time to start dusting off the sleepy winter chops & start playin'.

Did two takes on the "Cray" backing. One with 'buckers, one with singles.

I meant to edit these down, as they are painfully long.. So no offense taken if you skip a lot! (In fact, I hope you do so you don't hear all the CLAMS!!!)

Anyway, it was a good opportunity to dust up with some "commercial" blues/pop tones. Gear info is all on the Soundclick page. The takes are the top two tunes on there...

Notice I also added a Strat rhythm track to the backing. Just a clean R&B kind of thing in position 4 (sort of like...umm... Robert Cray?? :D)

    Very nice!

You have a very melodic style. I Enjoyed hearing the BB.

Clams? na. Real impressive that you could keep going that long and keep it fresh. You really know how to keep a theme going - much respecto.

    Super nice Jayson ...

Those G&L Tributes guitars are really a great deal..
(Played one the other day & was blown away by what a great inexpensive axe they truly are..)

Of course, put one in someone's hands like yours, drop in some DiMarzio Area pickups
& they can't help but sound good ...

I concur with Woody's observation about your theme development ...
    very, very musical playing ...

Hi Jason, love your playing Buddy. I think I first heard you demo'ing Keeleys pedals?. But you got some sweet tone and ideas. Stay warm up in Tenn and keep playing the way you do

Thanks, guys. I'm still working on dialing in mic placements in my iso box, plus figuring out what amp/speaker combinations I like best with my current setup.
I'll do some more in the next few days.
