What are the odds of finding two cool vintage Kustom pieces in one day?
I've owned the black head since 1970. Never had a color matching bottom for it. I find this one listed as a 3 x 12 cab. Turned out to be a 3 x 15 and if I'm reading the numbers right the CTS's are 1967, making this first year cabinet. Eh?
Then, later in the afternoon I bring home the red metal flake head and it just sounds so good I can hardly believe it. I forgot how good these amps can sound.
Not done yet. At nine AM I had agreed to meet a guy in hopes to be the first one there to pick up, an identical to the one I posted a couple of weeks ago early 2 x 12 Bandmaster empty cab for $60 bucks. I was. I did. The 3 x 12 bottom - $200. The red head......$50. Persistence and luck. Thank you Mr Craig's List.
