Check out the headstock for fun:
No! Silver fretts!
Puzzling... even a reissue wouldn't look like that. Lotsa BS on CL.
It's a Ted Greene tele- two humbuckers.
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy
The serial number dates it to 77-78.
The seller just mistakenly added an extra zero to the asking price.
Crack is whack
so who's gonna give him a call and laugh?
Thanks for the heads up guys - I was able to swoop in there and buy it for his $15k asking price before the seller realized it was worth way more than that - what a vintage steal!
plastic neck plate cushion? Is it even 70's at all? They didn't do those till the 80's did they?
Hard to tell, but from those pictures, that is exactly what it looks like.
Hahaha! That one's a hoot! Hope nobody gets suckered in.
Mid- or even early '70s is when I started seeing them.
Oh come on... No one spends $15k on a guitar without knowing what they're buying. No one's buying this.
I've been surprised before by scam guitar sales stranger than this; and for as much cash. There are folks out there with more money than brains.
but... let's hope not!
Bogus crap is what it looks like! I have good exposure to a real '53, and I owned a '55. This guitar in question looks so cheesy, compared to any vintage Tele.
