Creating neck angle: Anyone use a B16 style neck shim, but without the Bigsby?

    Not with a shim, but I have a couple Peavey guitars with setscrews that adjust the neck tilt and also the action. It's a great system. The setscrew is mounted in a tee nut in the body's heel, and the neck has a small steel disc to keep teh setscrew from biting into the wood of teh neck.

    That both raises and angle shims the neck. It would definitely require that you raise the bridge. Be careful of what you wish for. That might be too much of a good thing.
    It is very easy to shim a neck to your preference with odds and ends as a trial.
