Creepy Fingers Tone Bender MkI

So I just picked up a Creepy Fingers Tone Bender MKI today! Absolutely killer fuzz. I noticed something though: if I slam down pretty hard on the strings every once in a while the volume will cut out. It feels like sag, as if the circuit can't handle the sudden increase in signal and cuts out on that note until it catches up. Anyone know what that is about?

Also I noticed a trimpot inside the pedal, is that a bias pot?

Thanks everybody!

Your pickups are too loud. Try turning you guitar volume down a bit or hitting the strings more towards the neck. A compressor before the mki works too.

mk I are notorious for that and their decay kinda falling apart. Sounds like its doing what's mk I should be doing.

Trim pot is likely bias. Set by the builder so I wouldn't mess with it.
