Fascinating... Technically it doesn't orbit our planet in a direct elliptical orbit, but it IS influenced by Earth's gravitational well...

I don't know about calling it a moon because it's only 5 Km in diameter, but it's still cool to know where the alien invasion base is... ;)

Cruithne over Miami just doesn't have a ring to it.

I'm going to try and Cruithne a tour bus full of senior citizens.

    Hmm...I kind of like it.

AFAIK, It's always been called the 'Cowboy Moon', because of it's horseshoe orbit, and sometimes the 'Lucky Moon'. In fact, when Jacky Gleason used to threaten Alice in the Honeymooners, "To the Moon...", he was in fact meaning that that would be a very lucky day. For that he was 'branded' a sexist.

    Yeah that's it.

Interesting that they knew about this moon on the honeymooners, but it was not actually discovered until 1986.

Gleason died in 1987...coincidence? I think not.

There is an obvious connection, but some will refuse to see it.

If it doesn't orbit the earth, it's not a moon of the earth. Pretty straightforward definition. It's a chunk of rock in orbit around the sun.

    That's no moon, it's a space station.

This video makes it a bit more clear how it "orbits" the Earth

It's too big to be a space station.
