This band should have been bigger than Bad Co. in my opinion, they had it all!!!
They should have lasted much longer, what a rip off to us listeners:(

I really dig this tune in particular:

Brother is a killer album all the way through. Why that vocalist didn't do something else big is a mystery.

Jason isn't a great singer but Kelly Holland who sang on the Brother album is a great drummer. After Kelly quit it kind of hurt the momentum they had going but even if he had stayed it seems likely the label would have wound up unsupportive of the band.

Well, Audley has gone on to play with others, most notably
    The Black Crowes
    Dixie Chicks
    Peter Frampton
New Earth Mud with Chris Robinson
    Job Cain, etc.
Not sure what he's doing at this moment. Maybe Alvis knows...

    Bill, you've got good taste!
I had the pleasure of playing with Robert Kearns for awhile a few years ago.
He's now with Skynyrd. What a great guy.
Cry of Love should have been huge.

I was Audley's guitar tech Cry of Love and Jimmy Page & The Black Crowes. A great player. He's in Nashville now and has over the last few years played with the bands listed above, as well as Jacob Dylan's last outing. He keeps busy these days mostly doing session work.

    +1

Probably the most famous thing he's done to date is play with the Black Crowes and Jimmy Page for that tour and album. I like his playing a lot, too.

Here's part 1 of a presentation he did a couple years ago. He talks about playing as a professional guitarist, technique, playing with Cry of Love, playing with the Crowes and Page, and lots of other stuff.

Thanks for the feedback and cool info guys! I am always amazed at how labels just ignore massively talented artists and spend all their money on "manufactured" artists that look and sound the way they want them to, even if they are not the ones actually singing or playing on the album!!!!

Independant seems to be the only real rout left for great bands...

Both Cry Of Love's albums are great!

Audley has also played a couple of shows in Joe Perrys band a couple of years ago

His most recent show is probably as a part of the house band at Warren Haynes Christmas Jam this year. Here's a torrent for that (there are many more from the show on etree):

Robert Kearns also played on that, and he's a great bass player and singer. He was part of some great albums with the Bottle Rockets (super-terrific band) and Job Cain. There are some cool bootlegs of the Bottle Rockets playing with Audley being part of the band for a couple shows.

There's also cool bootlegs of Audley playing with Kevn Kinney. Then of course there are many sit-ins with Gov't Mule, especially on the show where they played the entire Houses Of The Holy. He also played as Trigger Hippy earlier this year together with Jimmy Herring, Steve Gorman and Nick Govrik.
