I am picking up a Cantrell wah soon and want to mod it for true bypass. I peeked inside a buddies..and it appears to already have a true bypass switch in it..thats wired for hardwire bypass. is this as simple as just switching around a few wires and maybe adding one, to make it true bypass? i have no idea what im doing..and wouldnt do it myself..but just trying to get a heads up. thanks for any info.

Thought I may as well post up some pics of mine. I'm not sure about the switch myself. I'm more interested in throwing a foxrox buffer in there, so if anyone has done it or see's anything that would make it more challenging let me know.

dont quote me, but that my friend looks like theyre using a dpdt switch, which COULD be used for true bypass, but in the NON true bypass form, basically using it as an SPDT switch with the input i believe? bypassed, this is the "crybaby" and old dod pedal form of bypass, SUPER tone suck...putting the buffer in there would work great, just make sure its in series AFTER the wah switch, connected to the output jack...cheers!

Thanks man, I've got a spare 3pdt switch and the buffer, so I think I'm gonna install those tomorrow.

Google stinkfoot or castledine for all the info you need, if you haven't soldered before, get an old circuit board and practice on it first
