I recently made a thread about how I rewired my Firebird with new CTS 500k Vintage Taper Pots. I can't seem to find it anywhere, but anyway, like I said in the thread the 500k pots made a huge improvement in tone to the Duncan SM-1 FB pickups I had in there. One thing I noticed with the tone pots though is that they have a much less gradual shift in the treble roll-off. From 10 down to 3 the tone is the same; and when it goes under 3 it abruptly changes to a dark, bassy "woman tone". I was wondering if this is from using these 30% vintage taper pots with .022 caps or if I somehow wired something wrong? If it is wired correctly, would I be better off using regular audio taper for the tone knobs?

Or.. I was thinking this might work better if I switched to 50's wiring. What's your opinion? :dunno Thanks.
