I'm going to try popping some 6L6 tubes in my Greer Cam18, but I am currently running 6v6's in all my other amps but one, so I haven't bought any 6l6 tubes in a while.
Can someone recommend me some current production 6l6 tubes?

JJ's are the best I've used.

The new Tung Sol 6L6 STR is my favorite of all new production.

Sorry about that. It's hard to search when you're looking for info on a tube with only 3 letters.
I ordered some Winged C's to try.
    thanks.

No problem — not being a nag, just wanted to direct you to good info.

I'm partial to the Winged C's and JJ's meself.

Honestly, I'm just really happy with JJ tubes. I know they're not NOS or Mullards or anything, but they're damn rugged, warm, and they're affordable.

Just wanted to chime in here--we suggest either Winged C or the new Tung Sol 6L6GC STR. They both sound great in their own way.

I was using JJ's in my amps. On a lark, I ordered a matched pair of "Winged C's". They were so good, I couldn't bring myself to order anything else. I'd like to try the new TS RI. But I can't imagine anything sounding better.

I've tried a couple different brands. For clean and lighter gain stuff I love the SED's. For more drive and pre-amp gain I like the JJ tubes as there a little warmer, bigger, and have less going on in the mid band so the power amp section says cleaner.
I haven't tried the tung-sol's yet and no reason to try anything else.

The Groove Tubes 6L6GE is a great tube. I've put them in my Boogie Simul 2:90, and they sound HUGE.
Great bottom end, and clearer mids and highs.

+1 on the GT 6L6GE, I picked up a matched quad and installed two into my Groove Tubes Soul-O 45 combo, they made a big improvement!
