EDIT: ITS DONE!!! SEE PAGE 3 FOR DETAILS!

FINALLY. I saved the $$, got the specs worked out, and Shad from Peters Instruments has started on my Custom Vixen. It is a semi hollow, single cut, carve top guitar with a maple top and mahogany body/neck. The wood Shad picked is UNBELIEVABLE. Theres a link to preliminary pics below...my guitar is "Vixen #4". :)

I really love Shad's guitars and the Vixen is a really beautiful model. I can't wait to see your guitar come together!

I was going to my workshop yesterday and stopped by to give shad a visit on the way there. He was in the process of refining the carve before before removing wood from the back and voicing the top. That really is some beautiful quilted, I am kinda hoping I can snag some cutoff for knife handles (finger crossed). Beautiful looking guitar, I'll be excited to see more progress. Keep the photos coming!

She's taking form...already got her named...'Belle'...can't wait to get this beast in my hands! Shad actually started over on the neck because 'he didn't like the tonal qualities of that piece of wood' at no extra cost!! Love this guy, top notch person and builder...really knows what he's doing!

What a beauty, congrats! That maple top is amazing. Was that from Shad's own stash of wood? Some luthiers really seem to have access to great flamed/quilted maple.

Resurrection Time!!! Sorry for the delay in posting, but i have been busy and lazy with this thread :/....In the mean time, Shad has been hard at work! The pics say it all, but Belle is shaping up nicely :) She's roughly 4 pounds right now, and will be roughly six pounds when finished!
