After about 14-months, I just took possession of a custom flat top from Washington State luthier Kent Chasson (http://www.chassonguitars.com/). It is his Concert model which is roughly a 000 body size. It has a very old and stiff Engelmann Spruce top with beautiful quartersawn Brazilian Rosewood back and sides. It is a short scale (24.9") with a cutaway for easy access to the upper registers. We decided to aesthetically create an homage to architect Frank Lloyd Wright's Prairie Style stained glass panels. It has a thick, sweet sound with a nice balance between fundamentals and overtones. The quality of his work speaks for itself.
