CV Telecaster: which pups ?

Ok: CV Tele is, IMHO, avery good guitar that is worthy having good pups.
The one I bought has Tonerider vintage plus. I think they lack a little bit of twangy and brillance a real good tele should have. I haven't re-installed the original ones, that are Alnico III, and I read sound great
So: looking for a sound that is reminescent of, for instance, Roy Buchanan, what would you suggest ?
I'm thinking of Fender nocaster or Seymour Duncan antiquity. Or the original ones are "enough" ?
Comments ? Suggestion?
I have also a Seymour Duncan (bridge) vintage '52 that I bought in 1992. Which neck PUP should I put with it ?
Thanks

I put in mine a SD Vintage mini hum in the neck and a Tom Anderson TV-1 in the bridge
I had a set of joe Bardens in there, took em out
A fender nocaster bridge will be awesome
Id still go w/ a mini hum in the neck, my 2 cent

I have a stock Fralin in the bridge and a Novak in the neck in my CVC. Clean its twang for days ala Bakersfeild, but sounds Jimmy Page with dirt/fuzz.

If you wanna spend a little money Don Mare is all about some Roy BUchanan pickups.

Zhangbucker pickups are worth a try. When you go to his site you also get a free lesson in pickup design, just by reading his site. He doesn't try to sell you anything. As far as how they sound. I asked a guitar player after his gig, he had a great sound and he told me he just put in the Zhangbuckers in his tele.
Check them out. I ordered a set for mine.

I love David's pickups. I've got a "Paul Bunyan" set in a Tele right now...just fantastic musical pups.

The email [email protected] should get you a response....sometimes it takes a day or so to get a reply; he's a one-man shop and busy...but he's responsive.

Try emailing him again...it's worth the effort IMO.

Thanks alot. I think I will give'em a chance (to the extent they ship to Italy...). By the way they are not too expensive, compared to, for instance Lindy Fralin, which I love a lot. To be honest I've never heard of them before: thanks for the suggestion.
