I love her!
I saw one of her more recent performances a while back. She can still kill it.
She mentions wrestler Rocky Johnson who happens to be Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's father.
One of a kind. She's great.
Great band she has too. shame to lose Johnny, one of favorite shows.
Ahh, the 80s. She is adorable.
She just never gets old. I remember that WTF moment, i think it was an awards show and when she went onstage she brought Hulk Hogan with her. It was the first known connection (for me) with Cindy and the WWF. She explained while Hulk just flexed 'em.
Her music still stands up today. I teach high school and often will play an 80s mix when my juniors and seniors are doing longer projects. They love her songs.
I love her.
Thanks for posting the clip!
Time after time is such a great song, and love that 80's chorus tone!
Love her!!!! Very smart lady.
She freaking nailed it.
Fantastic. Big energy. And a voice you really can't control (not slagging it, it's free and individual).
And Johnny called her over to the desk...Wow. So many comics wished for that, but never got it. Johnny called her over! Wow.
What a great voice.
Still my favorite concert I've ever seen. True Colors Tour, Seattle 1987. One I'll never forget.
Here she is a little later in the same year with two more songs.
Keyboardist has a CE-1 behind him.
Are any of the band members known guys?i i don't recognize them.
For 30 years, I thought the line was "What in the world can they get done?/Girls just wanna have fun";
In 1984, I was absolutely convinced that Lauper would have a much bigger career than Madonna. Much bigger.
I used to have a thing for her. Come to think of it, I still do. Time after Time is one of those songs that really gets me.
