I already have a Hayseed 30 on order, but I am also looking at getting a D13 FTR37 as well. Between the two amps I think I'll have all the sonic area I need covered.

I am trying to decide on a color scheme for the D13 amp. I know the available colors have changed slightly, but could all you D13 owners please post a picture of their amp so I can see all the cool color combos out there. Thanks!

The rear panel on the 4x12 is actually ported with two cutouts, 6" wide by 12" tall. This is kind of an experiment for Fred and I. It's loaded with Blues.

    The 2x12 has a Blue and a G12H30. :BluesBros

    Cool Rick!

I was hoping you would post. I remember your 2x12 photo from another post months ago, but couldn't find it. Did you have Fred match the amp color to your guitar or did you pick up that git to match the amp?

    /13 users:

I understand the /13 amps do not have an effects loop. So, if you like to use delay with the amp crunch, how can you use it without the delay taps being distorted?

Just curious...or do you use a distortion pedal with the amp set on "clean", and then use a delay pedal.

I've wondered how Rusty Anderson uses effects with his /13 rig and no loop, as I see he has a rack with some effects. His tone is awesome!

W/D or W/D/W rigs work great with D13 amps if you're using more of the gain from the amp. there are some guys on this board that do that. i know LeonC has his rig set up like that. i use lighter gain and have put a Fulltone TTE in front and liked the sound very much.

also, i believe the new JJN50/100 amp is available with an Effects Loop. i Matt Scannell has one with the effects loop.

The JJN 50/100 has an effects loop. That is an amp head where you'll certainly be using the amp gain moreso than a pedal.

But, on something like the FTR-37, using a pedal for most of your gain works the best. Also, the OD on the click channel is more friendly to delay repeats that other amps. You can get away with doing it that way too. A w/d or w/d/w would be the ultimate though :)

Thanks for answering my question. I'll look at the JJN 50/100...

What does: W/D/W or W/D stand for? Sorry...

    Wet/Dry or Wet/Dry/Wet.

w/d/w is like tri stereo, stereo cabs on the outside and dry in the middle.

w/d is like having a dry cab, and then another cab with the effected signal.

    PBT,

Thanks...DUH! Now I remember seeing that W/D thing before, and I've been playing 35 years. I use the Effects Loop on my Boogie Studio Preamp, with time delay effects only. I use about 15 pedals, but my favorite effects are Delay and Reverb, as well as Univibe type sounds.

Should I sell all my rigs and get a /13 amp? I'm partial to 6L6 amps....

As much as I enjoy a W/D discussion, can I see some more D13 rig pics?

This is the "old red" color isn't it? I think the new red is more blood red in color. Can someone confirm this?
