still diggin it - play around with it almost 2 hours a night outside on my patio:AOK
If you get in the mood to try something else, CGDGAD is really cool.
Go to my website. There is a tune called Highland Jig that I think you will like. It's in DADGAD tuning. I love DADGAD!
DADGAD always sounds too pretty to me for some reason. I love open G (DGDGBD) and I do a lot in CGCGCE which is really dark and skanky when done right.
Open tunings are great. Now for some real fun grab a slide and a capo!
Two words: Pierre Bensusan
Two more late words:
DADGAD is one of my favorite tunings. Although recently I've been messing with B F# C# F# A# D#.
i tuned my dano that way to keep me from playing the same stuff every time i pick it up. i like it.
another cool one is CGCGAD - example:
Very, very nice.
But don't be reminding people about this tuning. Let's keep it as much to ourselves as we can.
I really love alternate tunings. My faves are Double-Drop D & DGCGCD.
The lower C tunings are great also.
now yer ready for kashmir
Bensusan is the absolute master of this tuning. He doesn't use anything else. Such a fabulous musician.
