Just got this puppy today but have not yet played it through an amp. Neck is fan-freakin'tastic. Mike was amazing to work with. Guitar delivered right on time.

    • roasted maple neck
    • ebony board
    • basswood body w/ maple top
    • Dimarzio Norton + Area 58 neck hum-cancelling single
    • pull volume 500k to engage .004 uf capacitor treble roll off (like a PRS sweet switch)
    • 3 way switch
    • Gotoh 510s tremelo non-locking
    • stainless steel Jascar frets
    • hipshot open gear locking tuners

Glad it got there safe and sound and you like it so far. I think it will play well with your Soldano's since it was awesome through mine. Thanks for going with me on the idea for the white back. I really love the cleaner lighter look it gives to the whole guitar versus doing the usual black back as would be typical choice.

More pics here for anyone interested... http://davanzoguitars.com/da042

I kept calling it Beasto Blanco while working on it, but I think I like White Walker better haha.

Welcome to the D'Avanzo owner's club!
Your experience sounds just like mine.
I've been following this build since Mike started it, and waiting impatiently for your NGD :D

If I ever make it out to NV, I will bring .040, and we can compare tones from our different spec choices.

Every DAMN time you see one of Mike's new guitars, it's an 'oh sh!t' moment in the best possible way. It's the minute details that really stand out. ex: That rear control cover is badass! Goes so well with the body. . . EVERY time I pick up DA026, I just get a perpetual smile. Nothing but love going into these builds, and some major technique.

So glad to see this one 'in the wild', I've been following it since the early stages. Congrats, welcome to the club, I'm sure you will love it! As much as I can buy and move gear, I know that my D'Avanzo will stay with me for the haul.

And that neck. . . mmmmmmmmmmm, just perfect.

Divine. Feels wonderful and plays effortlessly. Sonically ‘alive’ ringing like a bell. Amplified....:aok

Is the neck shape or carve similar to anything you've played?

Don't you normally only play pink guitars? You should be ashamed...

(Coming from a guy with a pink, sparkly guitar)
