    Ive always pictured Dave in my head way older with long ass hair and a big/long grey haired beard........been thinking hard about picking up one of them GT800's!!!

    It sounds just like a tube amp.

    The GT800FX is definitely on my short list.

    Whether or not it sounds "just like a tube amp" the reviews are positive enough that I'm sure it will be a dramatic improvement over my current American Audio VLP 300. The Matrix has twice the power, a third of the weight, and the VLP-300 is a pretty average SS power amp tonally.

    The Matrix has got to be a top contender for anyone currently looking for a powerful 1U power amp.
