    I am sure that a not just a few fans were going "what the hell is he playing? - oh NO! a trainwreck!!!" before cottoning-on that it was a tribute to Prince.

    My favorite guitarist of all time paying tribute to the guy who inspired me to play. That's a huge show of respect to Prince, right there.

    Interestingly, they both have a lead style that can be mournful, and make the hair on your arms stand up.

    That ending solo still gives me goosebumps. Everything about it is perfect.
