    I have one. Yes it does come in a Gold Top. Great sounding guitar and the best PRS I have ever played.

    I played one... it's pretty sweet. Essentially it's a McCarty Trem with individual volume controls

    AND:
    *custom-designed pickups (much more PAF-like than anything PRS have ever done, with a really usable split)
    *nitrocellulose lacquer finish
    *custom neck shape

    Pretty different from a stock McCarty trem, actually.

    Yes.....I've played it......and my Proto-type McTrem IMHO is better!!!! I've even played David's Ex #1 Goldtop.... I'm still keeping mine!!!!:)

    Looks like a great guitar. The goldtop looks more Gibson-y in that pic versus the other gold PRS's I've seen, which are more like Fender's Shoreline Gold.

    Of all the dozens of PRS Guitars I played last fall at the Experience PRS event, that one was the eye-opener for me. In my opinion, the best new guitar they've come out with in a while.

    i actually (and many others at the PRS experience) played grissom's personal DGT as well as a goldtop that was there. I loved both. they seemed on the heavy side, neck was amazing, tone was great. acoustically resonant. loved them

    the pickups are really what i'm interested in. while i love the HFS/Vbass combo, never liked the mccarty pickups. a little too high gain for me.

    and would to know what the neck shape is like. thicker than a standard, but thinner width than a wide fat? sounds perfect!

    I'm not a PRS fan per se, but I'm a huge DG fan. Definitely have to check this one out. Saw the video. The guitar seems very well thought out.

    A friend of mine has had one for awhile & brought it over a few months ago to play on something. Really nice guitar, they got it right I think. Want one.

    Can one of you that have played a DGT confirm something for me? Some describe the neck shape as thinner then a PRS widefat but deeper. :confused:

    Is the neck bigger or smaller the a Wide fat neck shape?

    I think what they (sorry not sure who they is) meant is narrower than the wide-fat. I believe the DGT neck is supposed to fall in between the Regular and Wide-Fat neck shapes.
