Thanks for this! What's a decent enough number of 'likes' these days..?
Approximately 400. Get everyone in your band to network with their friends and ask them to help. A useful book for improving your social media presence is "Music Success in 9 Weeks" by Ariel Hyatt.
Curious if anyone local is planning to go to the upcoming Philly guitar show? I'm on the fence - I'd like to, but it will require some other crap in my life to cooperate!
I went a couple of years back, it was ok but I wouldn't do it again. Asking prices were unrealistically high across the board imo, which was frustrating
I’m in Fredericksburg. If it wasn’t so far I’d go for a day. Regardless, thanks for the notice. I’m interested in events like this
I might go to Philly. I went maybe two years ago. It was cool to see Johnny Highland play and to check out come boutique amp builders. Much of the same- astronomically priced Gibsons and Fenders that I'm not sure ever get sold. More of a museum thing, I guess. I may be interested to check out some Suhr guitars if any vendors have them.
If anyone's going and wants to "carpool," send me a PM (I'm still on the fence but leaning towards going on Saturday).
No interest, I guess - I'm out.
I went on Saturday and had a blast! It was very cool this year. I had a "mission" to check out some modern/boutique guitars that I only see on-line. Mission accomplished! I was not available for any carpooling, unfortunately, as I took my son and we did other stuff while in Philly as well. I took a few pics and started a thread in the Guitars in General section. Hopefully, some of you guys made it there this weekend.
I never visit this section and don't get updates... might need a better way to rally the troops. I went to the Philly show on Saturday and got a great deal on a Peerless Epi Sorrento! Gold flake finish and Bigsby (well, Vibrotone)... looks like it's str8 outta Vegas!
Let’s see it!
Hey, I'm in Fredneck's Burg too. I host a couple of jams a month over at Colonial Tavern (1st Tuesday and 4th Thursday), if you ever get a chance, drop by and say hello! I've always enjoyed meeting folks from TGP.
