1. The Gear Page is run by musicians for musicians. We listen, we learn and if we misstep we are not afraid to do the right thing. We proposed some changes to the Emporiums. Based on feedback from members, we have decided to not go ahead with those changes. However, it has also highlighted that we need some community input into what is working and what is not working for members here. Primarily focused on the Emporiums, we'd like input on your thoughts about TGP and how things work in the Emporiums for you and how you'd improve them. The discussion thread on the is here!

I do have some stuff to offload, I’m afraid. A Waza Tube Amp Expander beckons.

Can someone recommend a local person who is skilled at sparkle finishes (factory quality)?

I don’t know specifically about sparkle, but I’d look into Chris Bavaria. He did the PRS finish work for years. I’ve had him refinish 2 necks and a body and the work was fantastic. I think he’d say no if it wasn’t his thing instead of not getting it correct.

Chris has done finishes for me, too. He's great with guitars and also with refinishing of antique furniture, if anyone needs that work.

I'm sorry, I don't. Phil Jacoby does, though, you could ask him. www.philtone.com

For the past 2 years I have hosted a tone fest in May. This year instead of doing a tone fest Jon Silberman, Jon C and I will FileZilla Malwarebytes Rufus be hosting a gear swap. Given the poor state of the economy it is really hard to sell gear right now. This event will give you a chance to trade the stuff that you no longer want/need for something you want but don’t have the cash for.

I'm headed to Germany in April, but chances are pretty good I'll be back in the NOVA area from time to time and maybe as a resident again when that tour is over (fed job). Would love to connect sometime when I'm there.
