DD20 Noise Problem

I've had a DD-20 on my board for years (had two for a while, what a trip!) and haven't ever had problems until today.

For some reason when I rearranged my board the DD-20 got noisy. I tried lots of different things, like changing patch cables, different power supplies, etc. and found that it's definitely the DD-20. I put it in a single bypass loop, and when it's in the path there's a big hiss, but when taken out the hiss is gone.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix it or something to try?

Long shot: maybe its oscillating in digital mode and the trail is on..? ie you switched preset but the previous one is still oscillating.

Or maybe just give it a good hard stomp or two. Certainly won't hurt the pedal!

I thought about that, so I unplugged and started from scratch and the hiss was still there, even cycling through the presets, which should disengage any trails.

And good call on the stompage. I've been temped to throw it against the wall. I know it won't hurt it, and could possibly reset the dumb thing.

Thanks for the ideas.
