Has anyone had any experience with this pedal? I haven't been able to find too much about the analog function of the DD7. What does everyone think about it? I saw on the Boss website that it is meant to replicate the tone of the old Boss DM2.

I've never owned or played a DM-2 but my DD-7 never leaves analog mode and sounds great. That pedal has been on my board for like 4 years now.

I had a DM-2 for a while. I think it is spot on and sold my DM-2.

+1.... sometimes I venture into modulated mode, but usually it's always on analog!

That is shocking to me. I've never tried a DD-7, I just always assumed it probably sounded pretty digital. I had a DD-6 for a brief period of time, and decided that was all the digital delay I needed to hear. I guess the DD-7 came out for a reason though!

Analog mode is great, found it different than a DM-2 but not in a bad way. Easily the best value delay around I think.

Analog mode is indeed good on the DD-7. It doesn't sound exactly like my DM-2, but it still sounds very good.

The DD7 is a wonderful pedal. It sounds great in almost any situation. Super easy to dial in too.

The DD-7 analog mode doesn't sound exactly like my DM-2. I find it is clearer
and sits better with the band. Plus, the extended delay time (double?) and
tap tempo make the DD-7 come out to play much more often than the DM-2.

one cool thing on the analog mode is the long delay time, its longer than the dm2.

Always on with the analog delay too. Sometimes I use reverse and the looper, but my main delay on this pedal is the analog that sounds amazing.

Never owned a DM-2 but the analog on the dd-7 and the dd20 are top notch

Starting with the DD-20 the analog mode was based on the DM-2. When I owned a DM-2 they were selling for $300+. It was a no brainer to ditch it. They sound sooo similar.

i sold my DM-3 because of my DD-20. I did way more and sounded nearly as good. I do miss that pedal though.

Ill join in the praise for the DD7 any day of the week as I absolutely love mine, I think its a friggin swiss army knife of delays but theres no way in hell Id get rid of a DM2 or in my case DM3 for one.

Not to derail the thread but since where on the subject of analog sounding digitals that dont break the bank have any of you guys tried out a danecho? Scary good.

How close do you think the analog mode comes to the DM2/3

It's pretty handy having digital and analogue voices in one compact pedal. If your budget allows check out the diamond memory lane jr. That replaced my dd7. The tone sits about halfway between the analogue and digital modes of the DD7.

I was planning on getting the DD7 so I can go back and forth between different flavors of delay.
