Dear friends, Who makes those ultra thin, aged pup covers for Humbuckers?

    Dear all,

Awhile back, I was reading a thread that included the writer discussing the deliberately thin pup covers on his humbuckers.

I just got a Gibson 1960 Classic today, and my early impression is that I like the guitar. Stock pups, and open coils. The look of the open coils, I am not so fond of.

As I am always learning so very much from this website, can someone tell me who makes such covers, and where I can purchase a set?

    Thank you so very much.

Depends what you want to spend. Jon at Throbak has the best covers for the price. You can find cheaper, but his are molded from original paf covers. They are accurate and thin.

    $45/each-new $50/each-aged

1960 classic has wider bridge pickup spacing. Jon's are for PAF spaced pickups. I've used the Gibson covers in the past, for the hot ceramic humbuckers that come on classics.

Jon's only got the PAF sized nickel covers as of now.
