    Now all guitarist offers is endless top 10s and nothing worth reading.

    I still have a couple hundred old magazines stored somewhere, mostly from the 70's and early 80's. I've probably never looked at one of them since then, but it seemed like a good idea at the time.

    My problem with subscriptions has been getting destroyed issues, or not getting them at all. I’ve always gladly paid extra to pull a nice fresh copy off the rack, while also getting to peruse other magazines and books.

    I don't think VG is going anywhere for the time being. We have a core group of subscribers who love the magazine, and while that core group isn't as large as it was ten years ago, I believe we're doing just fine. I also don't think your doomsday scenario applies in this case.
