The only one I know of, and have been looking at, is the Boss VE-20, but it's a bit long in the tooth these days. Are there any others worth looking at?

This is not a bad unit . The only thing I see that would be a reason I wouldn't want one is
this unit has no time sync ( midi ) to keep it in sync with other FX units if you play with others
or use other FX units with this :dunno. Aside from that it's cool , I like what I head it do in a
    youtube demo .

    I use a T.C.Helicon Voice Live 3 X - it's not cheap , but it is awesome .

Note the midi in/out - this in not for making midi sounds it doesn't have any midi voices , it is
to make sure the timing of FX on delays and reverbs will stay consistent with other FX units
involved in the over all sound , in my situation I use a Roland GR33 guitar synthesizer module
and it's FX with my T.C. Helicon's FX . To make them perfectly timed you connect the midi
in/outs and you have perfect timing this way with your FX between units .

The Voice Live 3 will do a great job too and is not as expensive . Same unit less memory - USB dongle memory slot and automation of tracks/loops .

if you keep your eye on Guitar centers site you can find a Tc voicelive 2 at a pretty good price. I got one $270 tax included. the best I could find.

I have a VoiceLive 3 for a few years, hoped it would work for guitar but it didn't for me. I like the controls for individual effects

I would consider just having a mixer that had all the normal effects that people use on vocals.

I have a TC Helicon Create XT that I really like. You can store up to 10 presets. I think I got it for around $150 open box w/warranty on Ebay from PitBull audio.

Voice Live Play is great for 'verb, delays, and doubling.
The harmonizing is hit or miss, depending on stage volume.
