I played a Parkwood at GC the other day and was really taken away by the tone. I was quite impressed by the entirely solid wood body and top over my solid top laminated sides acoustic from Washburn. I liked the guitar but I wanted to know if there other brands and options out there in the 500-700 dollar range of acoustics that are all solid wood and have no electronics. Thanks!

Martin 15's are solid mahogany and can sound really good. I played a D15 that was a real stunner and they come in under a grand new. Great value.

I really fell in love with the Seagull 25th Anni edition available at GC right now. It was nice and it was $650 plus tax with a hardshell case included AND 15 months special finance.....

But the next hour I bought an older Seagull ('93) for $300 Cash.

Had I not stumbled on this Seagull I was going back to buy the Anni the next day.

I played a Parkwood and really liked it. I was pleasantly surprised and thought it was a great value.

+1 for the Larrivee 03 series. Used or new, they can be found for great prices. Great woods, workmanship, sound and playability.
