if you were to trade your deep blue delay, which other delays would you consider if you needed 2?

    dr scientist?
    carbon copy?
    deeelay?

    what?

would u let go the dbd?

eh, I'd get an analog.man modified Boss DD-2 (for clear digital delays that can also sound warm) and then something like a... i dunno... old Ibanez AD-80, if you can find one- if not- then a AD-9 will have to suffice. Maybe the Carbon Copy would go well with the DD-2. Either way, you'd have some killer delays. That said, whilst I haven't played a DBD, I have heard LOTS and it has all been positive... so I dunno! Also, you might add a few bucks and get a Timefactor...

it is beautiful, but i need another delay that is clearer.

maybe i'll keep it and try the analogman dd2 for the chords
    thanks!

Cmatmods Deelay is very similar to the DBD...I have both...I prefer the DBD as it is a touch fuller sounding, but again, they're very similar, and the Deelay is much cheaper. You can also go with the DD2 with analogman hi-cut mod, another excellent alternative.

as i said, first of all, thanks for the input
    2nd:
i need 2 delays, one for the leads and another one for the chords

    i'll check the 2 options

Have you tried a DD7 ??? very nice delay.

I think a dd7 into a carbon copy or an Analogman Analog delay is pretty much the ultimate " small pedal " duo.

The Deeelay and a modulated, analog voiced delay. That means DMM (out of price range I'm guessing), the Echobox, the CC, or my personal choice, the Dr. Scientist Sunny Day Delay.

For me it is a trick question. I wouldn't trade my DBD for any other delay.
I might use it in conjunction with my BYOC delay, or my Digidelay, or Nova Delay...etc.

It's too musical for me. Fits the bill, handles even hotter signals (in my experience) and just has that something that I love. I tried a lot too...DLS I had high hopes for but wasn't for me, I found it cold.

I am very interested in the T-Rex though as a second for my board. But I even very much liked for many years the H20, still do.

I LOVE my MP delay, personally I wouldn't want to trade, or replace it.
I bought a carbon copy, wanting something new, but it wasn't for me. How about the dbd, and one of the new digital space echo pedals? That might be cool. Good Luck!
