Delay pedals. I need a different one.

I have a Memory Lane Jr. currently. Sounds great, no complaints about it, but the tighter my worship band gets (hate on), the more I need presets. For a long time I got by just hitting the quarter/dotted eighths switch with my toe but it's not cutting it anymore.

WHAT I NEED:
Presets
Tap tempo
Dotted eighth capability
Ability to tap in bypass
Some modulation would be nice but not necessary. Disaster Transport holds down most of the mod duties.

I think the DD-20 with an external switch for presets might be the answer here, but tells what else I should look out for. Maybe I just bite the bullet and get a Timeline. Strymon Brig + favorite switch, maybe?

Sounds like Timeline all the way. If you can afford it I seriously doubt you'll regret it.

I've used a dd-20 for 13 years. I'm wanting to bring in a timeline- but starting to think it's diminishing returns.

The DD-20 is great and probably even cooler with an extra pedal.

I'm a guy that needs to have the LED...

You can a used TC Flashback X4 for like $150, and it fits all if your criteria.

I don't really know how many presets I need. 3-4? And I suppose I don't really need much in the way of sounds. I'll check out the Flashback for sure.

Another possibility might be the TC Nova Delay with a preset mod from t1m. You'd have 9 presets, a footswitch controller, and a more compact pedal than the flashback x4, dl4, or even the dd20. Might be worth checking out.

On the cheap - second hand DD-20 (great delay for the money, 4 presets, tap tempo, LED display with intervals and bpm/ms read-out, good range of delay tones and effects, plus a looper, swear by it)

Timeline man. Its the end all be all. You probably won't ever need another delay. No matter how much your band/tastes/styles/rigs may change it will be there for you and will deliver.

DD-20 with the external tap will do everything you need. I've had mine for a decade and will not part with it. Very simple to use as well. I have an M9 too. If you see yourself needing ambient reverbs and stuff for P&W then the money spent on a M9 would be well worth it. I think the M9 while a compromise on dirt and some modulations, is NOT a compromise on reverb and delay IMO. They sound fantastic to me. Sorry I didn't recommend the Timeline. ha.

If you can afford the timeline, it will fulfill most if not all of your needs, unless you HAVE to have a pure analog signal on board like me (enter the panther).

However for your situation I would suggest TC Electronics Nova Delay.

Stereo possibilities. 6 delay types. 9 presets. You can mix-match your delay types, semi-control modulation with light/med/heavy settings and you can generally find them used on here for < $160
