So I have a DRRI. The grill cloth on these is very silver. I'm trying to find a grill cloth that appears more like the aged grill cloths on the vintage DRs. I just prefer that color much better.
Hey I feel for ya, I just went through the same thing with my Deluxe. I found a solution that worked great for me. I bought a piece of the aged cloth but doctored it up myself. Buy some denatured alcohol and blend in some of the brown "Tints-All" coloring to taste. I applied it directly to the cloth with a brush before installing it. The tint dried pretty quick, I just let it sit one day. The other trick is to hit the cloth with a heat gun or hair dryer to tighten it up after you have attached to the baffle. But be very careful - keep the dryer moving because you can easily burn a hole in the cloth. Try it on a scrap piece first. Here is a picture of my '67 with my "aged" speaker cloth:
