Sorry the audio quality isn't better...it's my little digital camera on movie mode, so between the mic clipping a little and compressing a really large video down for youtube, it adds some digital artifacts and weird high end sparkle that I HATE about compressed audio. I'll grab a new recording interface soon and make proper clips.

Great tones, I especially liked the Eternity as well.

I also experienced the same "mismatch" with an OCD in front of a Victoria Victorilux (which in some ways resemble a Super). The OCD just sounded boxy and "sterile" in lack of better words. Worked great with other amps, though (Matchless and Riviera). Just goes to show how amp-dependent various ODs can be, I guess.

I'll second that. I just got a burst E, and I couldn't believe now noisy it is. I was wondering if there was something wrong with mine or something. I really like the tone of it, but I hate how much noise comes along with it.

For the folks that own the SR's...what do you like for an overdrive/distortion pedal in front of it? I was thinking about the OCD, but I want a little more gain than it can provide.

I'm not entirely sold on the OCD...it sounds amazing in front of small 1x10 or 1x12 Rivera's I've been messing with, but I'm not sure what it adds to my Super...

I sold the Eternity...couldn't deal with the noise...now I'm trying to hunt down something that gives me that tone without the noise

hey if your looking for a good OD look no further then an LDO... it does have a slight mid hump and some very slight compression but it sounds awesome with a super and whatever guitar you put infront of it.

My best results for higher gain distortion with my super is a tube screamer pedal going into a big muff with the gain at 0. Higher gain pedals aren't too hot with the super reverb, unless we're talkin fuzzes (look at the fulltone soulbender)
