I told you get that in the first place!

They look great together (and probably sound even better).

    Very Nice!

    Best, Pete.

You must be joking. Now you need an Octavia clone, a much more upmarket wah and Uni-Vibe clone (surely you can't be happy with those distinctly mass-produced Dunlop things? :p), some NOS curly cords, boutique flares, headband...

    ;)

It never stops, it's just that the goalposts keep moving a bit further away...

Congrats on the rig, very cool. I bet Mrs. Al likes it a bit better than the Marshall stack too... :)

There's nothing edgy about the 45/50 at all! The tone is outstanding with EL 34's or KT 66's. Free, Allman Brothers, Zep, it's all in this amp.

Lovely clean tones - sort of sound I'd end up noodling away for hours without noticing :) So did the amp come with a free afro wig? ;)

But the fuzz tone (pedal?) left me wanting to hear the amp's own cranked tone. More clippage please :)

Please do post some pics of that cab. Thanks! DC45/50 owner here, and I'm looking for a better cab to match the head.

do you know what the primary impedance of the 45/50 output tranny is - is it 6.6k (jtm45) or 3.4k (jtm50)?

I prefer the low power mode in the DC45/50 to the high power mode. It's the only amp with the low power option where that's been the case. Usually something gets lost when powering down. Denis did it right on this one.

Well said. The low power mode is as transparent as it gets.

I've had a 45/50 since the first run when introduced, and it stopped my hunt for a JTM45 (my all time favorite Marshall tone) dead in it's tracks. I had an original model DC20, and sold it only because the low power option of the 45/50 made the 20 redundant.

Tonedaddy, I'm curious what cab you're using with your 45/50.
