Definitely. The song has a lot of weird meters and changes; it's understandable that he wasn't prepared for every change. Overall he did great for a first play on such an unusual tune and really found his groove by the end. It would have been interesting to see Dennis go through the iterate and improve process until he had bits he was pretty happy with (though edited down.)guy is amazing. not an easy song to just "wing it" to and I thought he did a pretty good job. was even more enjoyable towards the end when he really started to get into it.
Toss in John Scofield.I've seen Dennis with:
Greg Howe
John McLaughlin
Victor Wooten
Mike Stern
Scott Henderson
and many others I forget. He is such a badass.
