    Can anyone explain how to wire pickups with 4 wires into a DGT?

    DGT pups have the braided coil and one white lead:

    I have this:

    The DGT braided wire seems to go to the volume pot, and the white goes to the push/pull?

    How would the 4 leads be wired in the DGT?

    Thanks, and Happy New Year!

    The DGT pups just have a simplified version of a four-conductor pickup.

    Bare = Shield and Ground (two separate wires on your new pickups)
    Black = Hot
    White = Series connection between coils (two separate wires on your new pickups)

    If these are SD pickups, you want both the red and white to go to the push/pull ... green is ground and black is hot (vol pot)

    With 4-wire pickups you can wire up the push/pull for series/parallel. Unlike coil-splitting, parallel wiring retains the hum-canceling characteristic of the humbucker.

    They are Dimarzio 36th Anniversary pickups. I want to get the best of PAF and split coil tones.

    Like this (Red to vol lug, green/bare ground on pot) except instead of taping the black and white, it will go to the bottom lug of the coil tap on the tone pot.

    Can't help with the wiring issue but let me know if you end up selling the DGT's!
