...and the first time you try to open Photos it says: "There is not enough disk space to migrate your library," and you have to quit the program before you can even see your pictures? I found a back-door way to open iPhoto (it was no longer in my dock), but I can't open Photos, and I am wondering if I even need Photos at all...

Same here. Try rebooting the phone by simultaneously holding down the home and power buttons until the white apple shows up and then release both buttons...

I needed to clear some space to migrate from my iPhotos library.

Currently uploading 40,000 photos to iCloud, day 4 and counting!

Hey Peteyvee, I think jbd3 is referring to the new Photos app in OS X that replaces iPhoto. It has been redesigned to be more in sync with the IOS versions...

Whats the latest? Is anyone finding big advantages to Photos over iPhoto?

    Thanks!
