Earlier this evening I picked up a Marshall jcm-800 2204 full stack for 950.00 Standard angled and straight bottom cab. I don't think the cabs came with this particular head. Maybe the angled cab did, but the bottom one has the stereo/mono switch, so I am pretty sure that was purchased later. It is not in mint shape. Normal dings and tears on head and cabs. No worse than my jubilee half stack. Some scratchy pots, but it sounds very nice. The woman was selling it because it belonged to her husband who had just passed away.

Here is the full stack of rock

The head might've gone for that (or more) alone.

    Excellent!

You could probably sell the cabs and end up with the head for a couple hundred when all is done.

Yes, great deal! Good for you!!

(although the way the used gear market is going, who really knows?)

I am trying to post a pic, but I can't seem to do it. Do I have to be more than a supporting member?

Host it somewhere first, like on photobucket, and then from that web address use the picture icon above when you post (yellow square) that lets you punch in that web address. Your pic will pop up.

Yep, you got those cabs for free, the head was worth that much. Congrats!

I paid $850 for a Marshall JCM 800 2204 head alone about three years ago. You got a great deal!

It's funny, last year I bought a jcm800 2210 of a guy with the intention that if I could maybe make a profit and finance some new gear. Makes the wife happy that way. It came with 6550's and sounded, imo, terrible. Side by side with my jubilee, even worse. I had it rebiased and put in el34. Better but still not that great. This 2204 sounds way better.
