Preferably in a 50w model...
Don't think so in the 70's at least. I've only seen 80's and 60's 1x12's combos
The first one I saw was in the 80's.....
In 79' they made a 50 watt 2x12, but i don't know about a 1x12???
I've seen a few oddball Marshalls...one that I recall was a 1x12 non-master with a stock high wattage speaker...I don't recall the model number.
Otherwise I do believe there were 100 watt master volume 1x12's and 50 watt models. In the master volume series, the JCM 800 would be as close as you'd get to a master volume 1x12 JMP
I think people call those "Baby Plexi's" or something like that. They had like a 200-watt speaker or something crazy.
Never heard one, but have seen them pop up for sale online from time-to-time.
There was one and it was a JMP 2150 the "Rock n' roll baby" combo. Basically a 1959 with a master volume with one Celestion powercel speaker. First appeared in '78 and was made for a couple of years. Got this info from another forum.
Thats the one I was thinking about! Very interesting..a 4 holer with a master vol. Sounds like what every non master marshall amp owner ever wanted! I was bidding on one on Ebay a few years ago but it got a bit pricey for me. Sure would like to hook that up to a 4x12 or even a 2x12 cab and have at it!
Back in the early 80's I had a roomate that had one of those.I was just talking about it the other day and didn't realize what an oddball it was as it was a 4 holer but I don't remember a master volume.I just remember it was louder than hell and didn't break up much.I used to play it wide open because I had a Lab Series L5 and I liked his better. The old folks next door knew we were trying to get the Rock out of that amp !!!
