I thought there was some sort of falling out, but she's still on myspace and doing stuff for effector13, as mentioned. She does cool art, no doubt.

Actually she's not at all overpriced. Some of her giant pieces are pricey, but you can get some smaller, simpler ones for extremely reasonable prices. Less than half an Eternity, even. :D

Right, through which you could contact her. She has prices posted for some pieces on the /laurafbennett page. You could even, maybe, perhaps, and this is pure heresay on my part, commission something new and unique and really support her. Now that's a sweet idea. Maybe she could paint my roadcases.

Devi the owner of Effector 13 told us all on HCFX that Laura and Zach parted ways and now she was painting Effector 13 pedals. Devi even went on to say she asked Zack if it was ok and he was cool with it. Just to be clear Laura and Zack parting ways had nothing to do with Effector 13 that come later. I just didnt want that to get confused.

Maybe a stupid question, does this mean ZVex isn't going to be selling hand painted pedals anymore?

I prefer Myrold anyways...I think his work suits the pedals more. Everytime I think about Laura B painting E13 stuff I just cringe. It is kinda like Picasso painting your 74 Pinto Fastback imo...it is still a Pinto no matter how you dress it and no amount of flashy paint is gonna change that.

As long as they sound good, I don't care how they look.

Believe it or not I did edit it to make it less abrasive. Zvex pedals are known for the whacked graphics and outstanding quality. I just feel that E13 is trying to catch some of the mojo by using Laura; however the mojo of Zvex is far beyond the outer layer and there are but a few manufacturers that at his level.
